Medico-legal Event of the Year for Mental Health Professionals
Tuesday 24th September to Thursday 26th September 2024
At Hazlewood Castle, North Yorkshire
OR
Fully interactive live streamed event
The Grange Conference Directors and ETN look forward to welcoming you to the 23rd Annual Grange Conference which is now the go-to conference for medico-legal experts.
Due to its increasing popularity, we have outgrown our previous venue and this year, we move to Hazlewood Castle – still in sunny Yorkshire! Professor Keith Rix and the stalwart team of Grange Conference Directors have chosen the topics for this year carefully, based on feedback from previous attendees and a forensic analysis of the issues facing experts in the current
medico-legal environment.
As ever, the three-day event will be a hybrid conference enabling those who are unable to attend to participate remotely. Nevertheless, we strongly encourage you to consider coming in person, now there is no limit on numbers, to feel the true Grange experience. Not only can you gain so much from networking with other experienced experts and speakers, but the Gala Dinner with its after-dinner speaker, on the Wednesday evening is also very well worth experiencing at least once in a lifetime!
This year’s topics include:
- Children who kill: safeguarding and conflicts
- Chronic pain and somatoform disorders, where is the line drawn?
- Truth, lies and other stories in psychiatric evidence and Truth, lies and other stories – a lawyer’s opinion
- PTSD – controversy and confusion in medico-legal settings
- A lawyer’s approach to risk assessment
- Cross-examination workshop
- Question time special
- Medicolegal case review
- Functional neurological disorders – where are we now?
- Challenges in medico-legal reporting in asylum, immigration, and human trafficking cases – a solicitor’s perspective
After you have attended this conference you will have:
- improved your confidence as a medico-legal expert
- learnt new and important facts you did not know before
- up to date knowledge of the ‘hot’ topics in the medico-legal world
- benchmarked your knowledge and skills with colleagues
- fulfilled your medico-legal PDPs for your appraisal
